A few things Overlooked when Creating Content for Social Media

There are many things to think about when you are marketing through social media. I'm going to talk about some key thoughts that most people may not consider or realize the importance of.

The first one is selecting which app to focus your social media marketing through. While a lot of companies utilize more than one, everyone has their most successful and reliable. There is plenty of thinking that goes on behind the scenes of selecting the site to conduct your work. It depends on what you are trying to advertise, some apps work better with different products or services. You have to consider who uses the app. For example, TikTok is mostly used by the younger generation, so if your target market includes the younger generation then TikTok would be a great place to advertise.

The next very important thing to think about is mapping out when to post on what site. It is recommended that you post more on certain apps like twitter because it is more of a casual app. However, for Facebook, you would post less because it tends to be used for more professional purposes. After deciding how much you are going to post on each app, you have to map out the content over a period of time. It would be a mess if you tried to create content day by day. Planning ahead gives you flexibility with your time and opportunities to edit future posts based off of live events.

The last important thing I'm going to talk about is tracking your posts. Looking back at the
results of how successful your posts are is vital to improving your content and decisions. You are able to see which apps perform the best, or if a certain type of post succeeds. This allows you to try new things in attempt to improve recognition and revenue.

In the end, all three of these topics are super important for someone on a content creating team. Your social media could be improved drastically if you implement these thinking steps.

  1. These are definitely all very valid steps to creating a good content to post on social media. Feedback on posts are going to be your biggest help when cones to your improvement for each post you make. Another good thing you highlighted that I think is very helpful is the mapping out what social media site your going to post on. Times to post vary when it comes to what your posting and what your posting on, for sure.

  2. Very well done Drew. All of these key steps are essential to having good social media accounts, content and posts. I really enjoyed the part where you discussed deciding which platform to post on. The example with Twitter was very good. All in all, very well written!
